Losing Weight: Even in the Summer


I know to most people, the time to start losing weight is before the summer hits.  This way you can show off the great physique you earned by staying with the grind of weight loss.  But let’s be realistic, it doesn’t matter the season of year, if you really want to finally lose weight it starts today!  I will talk about some of the things that losing weight can help you with, which there are a lot, and the types of things you can do to help with the process.

I myself am going through the process of losing weight so trust me when I say I know what it’s like.  It sucks… at first.  I have taken a big look into the things that I eat on a daily basis, and I found that I have made more than what I originally thought, in bad eating choices.  I did this by tracking what I ate for 3 weeks straight in a little personal “Food Diary”.  I quickly found a diet that was not overly intense, aka Atkins or Southbeach, and I stuck to it.  Before I started exercising I had already lost 10 pounds by eating right.  Amazing!  Then exercise came into the picture.  Within 2 months I have lost almost 40 pounds due to adding exercise into my daily routine, just a 1 mile run every 2 days.  Getting more sleep helped as well, since you need energy to help keep you motivated and to keep your mind from wanting to eat more.  Water plays a pivotal role because when you think you’re hungry, it’s probably due to the fact your thirsty.  It also, is a good filler for in between meals.  I do not take supplements, but I have read that they can help boost metabolism, I prefer lemon water.
In the end, I can honestly say that I feel so much better, not to mention I look a lot better, because of the determination to get the weight off.  In turn, exercising and eating better have helped my sleeping habits and made it easier to get up in the mornings.  I found that the change in my routines of a healthier lifestyle has led to more production in my day to day, and has significantly reduced my stress, making it easier to cope with things in life.  I hope this has helped you into getting the motivation you need to start shedding those POUNDS!
